Don't be afraid to season the food guys! I'm not a big fan of sweet so I really enjoyed that the lemon balanced out the sweetness level of this pancake. My husband ordered eggs and ham that came with choice of country potatoes or hash browns and pancakes. I'm going to give it another shot sometime soon because I do love diners and this is run by good people. Dislike - The only problem I had with the restaurant is that all my food came out lukewarm. The only way you're getting in and out of here in a reasonable time though is if you come at the crack of dawn. What I don't like is the fact that they don't have a reservation system in place.
Brunch places can be notorious for not having a reservation system, and I'm sure I'm not the only one that feels hesitant about return visits because of an unwillingness to wait long periods of time to be seated. I'm sure the owner's not the original have great intent. The drinks looked incredible, however, I was dining with a baby, so I declined this time around. The crab cake interestingly had tons of crab, which normally would be a great sign, but in this case they must use really cheap crab or something cause it was mushy and tasteless. I went here with my boyfriend on Saturday around 2:00pm and there was a long wait. My husband and brother in law both commented on expecting to see more food on their plates. I just wanted the flavors the marinate in my mouth.
I ordered very simple soft scrambled eggs, sausage and wheat toast. The hollandaise sauce on top made it even better! Hash browns were under cooked. The sauce was spicey but not completely satisfying flavorful because it was old. My husband got pork chops and Sunnyside up eggs. Now I go to the other waiter and ask her can I take these seats? Since I'm usually not impressed with biscuits and gravy, I ordered the meal that came with scrambled eggs, thinking the meal wouldn't be a total loss if I didn't like the biscuits. I asked for the gravy to come on the side.
I tried the blueberry lemon ricotta cheese pancake, chocolate chip pancake, chicken cordon bleu omelette, and an alcoholic coffee and milk drink. It was super brown which he didn't like. I'm going to give them another try at some point just to be sure, but. I feel like overall could have used more flavor. The serving staff is friendly too. From the hostess letting us know how long the wait time was for our party to finding the best place for us to sit. We ended up hanging out and enjoying our coffee and teas without any rush to get us out, something I really appreciate about staff as well.
We were surprised how good everything was and we will be sure to come back! Overall a great visit and a place we'd definitely go back to to try more of the menu. The dish I ordered was terrible but maybe if I'd ordered something else, I would be giving them more stars. Waitress goes, The chef gives an assortment of chicken. Every six months or so, I get a craving for biscuits and gravy. Now a random server at the bar interrupts our conversation and says Sir, this seat is open and you can take it and he walks away not even listening to me as I was trying to explain to him.
Parking is tough during prime time. The cup was super sticky but the tastiness of the mimosa was amazing. So 5 stars for the bartender and drinks, 3 for the food. Provided indoor and outdoor seating. We had trouble finishing all of our food and ended up filling 2 whole boxes of food for to-go.
Do what you will with this information but give Just Breakfast a try. The bacon slices were thick, meaty, and flavorful. Gave it 4 stars because if you don't go at the right time it's a guaranteed wait. The decor inside was kitsch, and the music inside brought me back to my college days, when we would brunch after a night out and maybe wish that they would turn down the base. Their coffee is really awesome. I'd recommend to anyone who likes coffee and kahlua! Customer service is even better. My husband and I sat at the bar top around 12:30pm.
It's right next to a body shop chop-shop? Eggs were over-cooked, and they gave me sourdough toast. Been wanting to try this place for the longest. We have been here multiple times on weekends this past year, mostly in the summer time. The hash browns were actually extra crispy like I asked. Winding to myself if this place was any good. I love coffee, so when I saw this on Yelp photos I had to try it.
Hashbrowns were extra thicc, soft in the middle and crisp on the outside. I did ask for my hashbrowns to be extra crispy, which didn't really end up that way at all. Service was fantastic but kitchen staff may need more training. The omelette was alright, pretty heavy and packed with meats and cheese but it was wayyy over cooked. If the food came out hot, I would have given the restaurant 5 stars. We loved the warm greeting and the overall ambience of the place, but we just wouldn't return for the food, especially because it's priced similar to other brunch places that have more tasty food. My friends eggs Benedict looked and tasted amazing.
The scrambled eggs were burnt on the edges and completely bland. No one in our group even got through half their meal, which was quite tasty btw. I'm sure their top Management will be as unapologetic as that server or why would they hire such folks? Tried to eat here a couple times in the past, but the lines were too long and I'm quite impatient. It can easily be missed when driving by but it's worth looking for. Not like the dinky two slices you would get at any other chain diner. The side of Hash Browns were greasy and only crispy on the top.
