Surprisingly this doesn't hurt Lonnie's admiration for Cal as much as it probably should. Lonnie is playing for a city-wide basketball Tournament and is coached by an old basketball player named Cal. Later on in this book Lonnie faces a really difficult decision if he wants to throw the game or if he wants to beat the opposing team. . This book makes you want to keep reading more to find out what happens. Like most sports novels, the action is there and you really can't stop reading when a game starts.

I give this book 5 star raising because this book has kept me reading up until the end! Cal knows because he once had the chance-but failed and screwed up. His action-packed performance eventually wins his team the championship. Lonnie thanks him for the information but Ugly asks him to say we never had any conversation. But reality struck his dreams and Matthew was not able to complete college and had to drop out of college. His coach, Cal, knows Lonnie has what it takes to be a pro-basketball player, but warns him about giving in to the pressure.
